Hoodzy is a 21 year old MC with roots laying deep in New Zealand and was born on the west coast of Australia. At 16 years old, Hoodzy launched Triple J’s new online series ‘Bars Of Steel’ which showed she was a fierce MC with charm, passion and skills despite her little experience in the booth. Hoodzy performed her first gigs to sold out crowds opening for Australian Rap group Triple One and played her first festival at Perth’s Listen Out in 2019. To put it plain and simple, Hoodzy describes herself as a 21 year old, gay, brown skin female chasing the dream even if the odds are already against her, Hoodzy will never be ashamed of who she is.
