Anyone who’s taken a yoga class from the amazing Carson Calhoun knows that there’s nothing quite like it. Not only does he teach Rocket yoga, a fast-paced-yet-accessible style born out of Ashtanga and rooted in inversions, but he’s also a total jokester, which explains his self-described job title: handstand-up comedian. It’s virtually impossible to practice with him and not leave a little happier.

Carson combines his love for being upside-down with his natural ability to make people laugh. During his classes, workshops, and retreats, students are encouraged to push their limits and explore their edge, while maintaining a playful attitude. In every instance, one can be sure to break a sweat, learn something new, and leave with a smile on his or her face.
