Welcome to Vanimal Instinct, where every road trip begins or ends with a surprise.

We’re Scott and Debbie, traveling with our two dogs in a 22-foot Coachmen Beyond camper van. One of us chooses the destination, the other gets behind the wheel, and no one knows exactly what the journey will bring.

Along the way, we explore quirky attractions, historic landmarks, charming towns, scenic hikes, local restaurants, dog-friendly adventures and unforgettable overnight spots. We also share the real side of van life travels: the wrong turns, unexpected challenges, close calls and moments that become our favorite stories.
