Info
This channel documents the 'The Flax Project': a complete reengineering of our custom, platform-independent, high-speed “assembly language” compiler and runtime. Using modern performant languages and compiler technology, Flax builds on its educational roots by teaching low-level programming concepts without the risks of native assembly.
You’ll see recordings of programming and documentation sessions as our team develops a real product with real tools. We’ll explore Flax assembly, the underlying ODIN codebase, testing, documentation, system design, bug tracking, version control, and development environment setup.
The sessions also capture our mistakes, design changes, and poor decisions—not just the polished results. While sessions aren’t directly narrated, developers may occasionally explain their reasoning, motivations, tools, and integration choices.
