Computer science and Python especially are increasingly core components of undergraduate science courses.  90% of all UK Universities have credited modules as part of undergraduate Physics courses that rely on Python.  This is particularly the case for data analysis, visualisation, modelling and general teaching of "programming". 

However, UK A-level Physics specifications do not detail any aspects of computer science and no Python.

Therefore there exists a potential skills and knowledge gap in this area.
