Kailasa Candra dasa is a Vaishnava intellectual, thinker, sidereal astrologer, and author of numerous position papers and articles about Krishna Consciousness. In 1972, he joined the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Madison, Wisconsin. After the disappearence of ISKCON founder A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, he opposed "ISKCON’s" zonal acharyas, beginning in 1978 and 1979.
