Welcome to N Gauge Scratch Building

Watch me as I scratch build a large N Gauge model railway layout set in the 1940s whilst the railways were being nationalised.

With a large inner city style terminus station, freight yard, locomotive works extending out to a marshalling yard with colliery along with a small residential town I will take inspiration from both local and national buildings and structures.

There surely will be some mistakes and successes along the way so come and join me as I plan and build this layout from scratch.
