The Scioto Valley-Piketon Area Council of Governments is a coalition of six locally elected governments: Pike County Board of Commissioners, Scioto Valley Local School District, Pike County General Health District, the Village of Piketon, Seal Township, and Scioto Township. They came together in 2019 because no single local government could engage a federal agency on its own.
