Curious Edinburgh is a University of Edinburgh project to develop walking tours of sites of scientific and cultural interest in and around Edinburgh in the form of a mobile phone app and accompanying website. Our general history of science tour is now in the final phase of development and will soon be available for iPhone and Android. From Darwin to Dolly the sheep, this tour will allow you to explore some of the places associated with major scientific, technological and medical discoveries and personalities, as well as some that are less famous, but deserve to be more widely known. We have sought out stories from the history of science in Edinburgh which will inspire, inform and amuse both visitors and residents of the city. History of geology and history of physics tours are also on the way. These will explore the central role of Edinburgh in the development of the two sciences which have shaped our understanding of our world and the universe.
