We’re restoring a 19th‑century château in South West France that was left empty for more than a decade. It’s a beautiful but demanding place, and we’re learning how to bring it back to life as we go.

We’re Jane and Rory, documenting the restoration of Château de Pican - the work itself, and the everyday life around it, including the pets, the surprisingly regular animal rescues, and thefantastic country we now live in.

We film weekly vlogs, mostly. The progress, the delays, the cock‑ups, the wins and the losses. It's usually a bit silly.
