domestication itself. Hidden Pedigree investigates the ancestry 
encoded within the DNA of the animals closest to us — dogs, cats, 
horses, and livestock — tracing each breed back to its wild origin 
point.

Using peer-reviewed genetic research and published scientific 
studies, we compare modern breed DNA against ancient and wild 
populations to determine which ancestral lineages genuinely match — 
and which long-held assumptions do not hold up to the evidence.
