Info
A return to the hobby of Railway modelling after around 20 years has invoked the creation of a fictitious location on the GWR, namely - Goodford. The layout is based loosely on the location of Westbury in Wiltshire during the year 1998. Split in to 2 separate scenic sections which are linked by a scenic fiddle yard, the mainly countryside side of the layout is loosely based on the entrance to the Mendip stone quarries.
The latest layout is MK6 however the channel also has older layouts still live which were more modern image diesel layouts with no fixed location, only somewhere on the Great Western Railway. MK6 is a home based OO gauge layout in a custom built 32x9 foot garden cabin and loops the room twice in a folded dog leg footprint.
The layouts are all DCC, operated with a Roco Z21 via an iPad with all locos being DCC sound fitted.
This is purely a hobby and for fun, and the channel was created to help me review my own progress, but I do hope you also enjoy the channel content.
